The vision for our brand, Oscar and Ralph, all began when we brought home our first furry baby, Oscar. As new dog parents we tried many different types of leads and harnesses but couldn’t find anything high-quality that was durable enough to withstand all of Oscars daily adventures, yet still at an affordable price. It was when Ralph (the crazy one) came along, that we decided to design our own products. We wanted to produce well-made collars, leads and harnesses that would be perfect for our love of long walks and being outdoors, yet suitable and comfortable for all dogs and all dog owners.

Since they are the inspiration behind it, it’s not very hard to guess where the name “Oscar and Ralph” came from. Despite the company logo reading as Oscar, there is a hidden meaning behind the reversed “R”. The OSC is for Oscar and the RA backwards is for Ralph.  The two colours in the logo represent their personalities – the white is for Oscar’s calm nature whilst the red reflects Ralph’s craziness. We know that no two dogs are the same, therefore we took both personalities into consideration when designing the features for all of our products.

As dog lovers and animal lovers in general, we see Oscar and Ralph as more than a business, but rather a way to give back. That’s why all profits from the sale of our Munlochy Rope Lead will go directly to Munlochy Animal Aid, a local animal shelter. Our aim is to try and donate products or proceeds from sales so that together with our customers, we can make a difference to some less-fortunate animals lives.
